Here at Legacy Hill Dentistry, we for sure focus on making patients feel comfortable. That’s something that we’re super passionate about. We, Dr. Edwards and I, both recognize that people are going to come in here, a lot of people are going to come in here and be anxious about what treatment is going to be done. I get that when I go to the doctor, when I get my annual visits, or stuff like that. But to be able to make a patient feel comfortable is going to allow us to do procedures that they really need to allow them to be healthy, for their mouth to be healthy. So one of the things that we do is just making sure that the patient feels understood, they feel they know exactly what procedure we’re doing, how that procedure is going to go.
We also like to make sure that they know that there’s plenty of time and that they’re in control. I don’t want to ever have a patient that feels like, all right, I have to sit here this amount of time. I want to make sure that they know that we’ve got plenty of time for the procedure. If they need a quick break, they can have that break. I think that makes patients understand and feel like, okay, I’m not necessarily sitting here, I have to sit here and tense up, but if I need to take a quick break, I can take a quick break. So those things and just understanding what’s going on and then making sure that they know that they have a little control over what’s going on, I think definitely makes them feel comfortable.
Say Goodbye to Your Dental Phobia
Our team is on a mission to provide the most gentle and comfortable treatment we can. We want you to feel completely at ease while you’re in the dental chair. Helping you get the care you need and having you leave us completely satisfied are our top priorities.
Our dentists and staff:
- Always listen intently to your needs
- Fully answer any questions you have about your oral health or the treatments we recommend
- Work at a pace that’s comfortable to you, taking time for a break, if needed, so you can relax
In addition, we offer inhaled sedation to help you unwind. You can take advantage of laughing gas, which will give you an all-over feeling of euphoria. Once you breathe in the gas, it will quickly go to work. Soon the idea of dental care won’t bother you at all. You’ll lie back serenely while we tend to your smile.
The best part about laughing gas is that its effects go away immediately once the gas is removed. You’ll feel completely normal in minutes and will be able to drive yourself home.
