We like coming here, or I do anyway, with our family just because we have a large family. Every time I’ve come here they’ve been super nice. You can tell they have a very family-oriented atmosphere here and they’re very flexible with scheduling. We’ve had to bring all of our kids at one time and they can do them back-to-back sometimes and or at the same time in different rooms so it’s just been a really good experience all around. I think it’s just actually how Dr. Edwards has taken his approach with any of my care. He usually looks out for the long term, not just, ‘Hey we’re going to deal with this here,’ and then whatever. He usually is talking to me about, ‘Hey, here’s what we’re going to do and we’re going to watch this for a while to make sure things are good.’ And you can tell he’s thinking through kind of what’s the best approach for it and then also what would be the best thing to do for a long term. So not just a quick fix or anything like that, always trying to make things best and thinking about what’s going to happen as I get older and my teeth get older. Anytime I’m here and I’m getting my teeth cleaned by the hygienist, usually when Dr. Edwards comes in you can tell they’re tight-knit because he’s coming in and he’s talking about something that’s going on with his family or his kids. Even as they’re doing their work as well, you can’t talk but they’ll still talk and it helps to kind of create that relaxed atmosphere even in the room itself. So it’s just, you can just tell that they’re close and that they really actually like working with each other too and that really matters to me. It’s been a different experience than what I’ve had in previous dental offices I’ve been to. Even with, when I’ve had to have work done or anything like that, it’s been easy to work with them. It’s been easy to schedule. It’s been relaxed in the room. I’ve not really had any hardship with trying to talk through scheduling, talk through any of the previous challenges I’ve had. Everything’s been pretty easy. I won’t say that I floss all the time but so, by any means, and I’m sure they know that, but none of them are getting on to me. You know, I’m not being attacked for maybe my shortcomings in my dental health. So they’re all very easygoing with that and yeah, maybe they’ll say, ‘Hey, make sure you do that,’ but it’s not an admonishment to me. Almost everything I’ve said I would say because they’re really relaxed, it’s an easy atmosphere to interact with everybody, and they’re very flexible with scheduling. I don’t think I’ve ever had any issues with any kind of billing. They’re very upfront with any billing if that’s ever a concern for anyone too. It’s been a really great experience overall.

Growing up, I’ve really had some poor habits with just my overall dental care. I don’t want to put it on my parents, but, you know, as a kid, you know, they helped to instill that in you and just wasn’t really instilled in me. So I’ve had to have multiple root canals. I have multiple crowns. It’s been a long and arduous journey for me as I kind of went through my teens and 20s to where I am now essentially.

I’ve had to have some of that work done elsewhere, but when I got here, they really helped to clean up and fix up some of that work that was done. And it’s been pretty extensive. Like I said, with root canals and crowns, it’s just been a lot of working through that kind of a process. And we still have items that we’re watching, waiting for some things to kind of need to get replaced and things of that sort. So it’s just been very helpful and especially considering that a lot of those things that I had issues with were very painful to deal with. And so they’ve been exceptional in helping me to work through that.

Anytime that I’m in there and they’re talking to me, he’ll go through everything that’s going on. I’ll ask questions. Very clear in his responses. Always explaining it. Before I ever make a choice or before I even leave the room, I will have all of that kind of outline for me on what we can do. No matter what the decision is, they’re good to go and very supportive of it. So it’s never been an issue with that at all.

This one has been really good. My daughter went through it and she got through on the 24 trays. And my son is on, I think, his fourth set. He didn’t do anything wrong. They just wanted to do tweaks here and there. Just helped us step through step of the way through the process and how it works and how to change the trays, what to expect if, say, they didn’t wear them, if they need to wear them another week. But it’s been a really great process overall to see how the movement of their teeth has been. It’s amazing to see what it looked like at the beginning and now close to the end for one of ours.

My kids have actually done really well in wearing them. But if they didn’t, they’d say, “Hey, you need to be wearing these longer or you might need a whole ‘nother set of trays if you don’t wear it the way that you should wear it.” But overall, they’ve done a great job. And anytime they feel like they’ve had a misstep, they’ll want to see them sooner to help them work through the process.

They make you very, very comfortable the minute you walk in the door. They explain everything to you and take all the fears. And when it comes to opening my mouth, I have fears. I have had root canals before that got infected, and I’ve had bridges. Everything has been so smooth here that I don’t fear coming here. Even the first time Bob and I came here, they greeted us and made us feel very, very welcome. When I had a crown the other day, the doctor made sure that everything was comfortable when it was over. And he told me without hesitation to call him the evening or the next day if anything was uncomfortable. And I love the video, their slideshow of their families. Obviously, they’re very, very family oriented. And just they’re good people here. Good people.

Well, I have been in other dentistry offices in Nashville, and none of them would be ones that I would like to return to, because I don’t particularly care for dentists to begin with because there’s pain involved. But coming here is pleasant. It just is pleasant. They have a nice establishment here. It’s a cozy type of establishment. And when you come here to have work done, you feel like you’re invited here and they are very good at receiving you. They are very cordial. They are very friendly yet still professional. It’s just a good place to come. And as far as the dentistry work goes, they are very good at it and they make sure that you’re very comfortable. They give you a lot of information, and they ask a lot of questions.

One of the things that I’m always interested in, as most men are, is billing. That’s always important. The one thing that I notice here is each time I come, they will give you a statement, a written statement, of what they plan on doing. They will explain the entire billing and the different procedures they’re gonna do, and they will give you a bill for it, what it’s going to be. Of course you don’t pay for it until the work is done, but you know in advance how much it’s gonna cost. In each of my occasions and in my wife’s occasions, the bill was not as high as what they thought it would be, which is always pleasant. It’s outstanding. If I were to compare it to the other dentistry offices that I’ve been in here, I would say there’s no comparison. This is head and shoulders above all the others I’ve been to.

Dr. Brennan is great. He’s very kind and he’s understanding and he won’t rush you through. The Invisalign, he explained it to me thoroughly. He sent me the before and after pictures of what it would be. They’re patient, they’re kind, and they take their time with you. They explain things thoroughly. If you call up, you got questions, if someone picks up, they don’t have the answer, they’ll get you the answer, the right answer to help get you to the right path of what you need help for. Well, I remember sometimes he’ll explain to you what he’s doing. They let you know what’s going on, and for great treatment, great care, absolutely., come here, yeah. And, you know, they also have good payment plans, the legacy plan or something like that. And that’s always very, very helpful. It helps me. They look at people like people and they actually generally care. And that care in their hearts makes a way for people to actually get tooken care of the way they’re supposed to.

I got the Invisalign treatment done. My teeth were really crooked, in really bad shape. And I was having problems with my ears, a lot of problems with my ears. And he told me how it could really affect me if my teeth keep going the way they’re going. And I don’t really remember word for word what he said, but I was like, ‘Oh.’ I didn’t even notice how crooked they were until I really paid attention to it. Because I’m so used to having what I have, it didn’t seem no different to me because I look at me every day. Until the process was over and I looked at before and after pictures, I’m like, ‘Oh my God, it’s totally night and day.’ And then, you know, the compliments come left and right. And I say, ‘Oh God, keep me humble because…’ But, you know, I had problems with my ears. And I had other things going on which were really, you know, bothering me and infections in my ears. And I had a really bad overbite and the Invisalign process really, really helped with that big time. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. You know, you hear people say stuff and then, you know, automatically you think that’s going to be you too. But sometimes I say to myself, ‘Well, you know, I think about it now, who knows if that person wasn’t over-exaggerating?’ There was little times, you know, where we get a new tray, it’s painful. I feel it a little bit, but then you adapt and you adjust. But that little bit of pain is well worth it for the adjustments that come with it. But I had to stay persistent with my cleanings, with my flossing, take them off when I’m supposed to take them off, put them on. I was really on top of that because, you know, why not? You know, I’m doing something. I might as well do it with excellence. At the end, I was like, ‘Wow, look at this, you know.’ And even towards the end, he goes, ‘Well, you’re at the end, but look at it. Tell me what you want to do. If you want to make some tweaks or whatever.’ And sure enough, they were very helpful. They got some more trays. You know, it was just part of the plan. It didn’t cost me no extra. I got them, a couple added tweaks and here I am.
